Karishma Mukherji, LPC (she/her)

Karishma Mukherji, LPC, works with older teens, adults, and couples, and specializes in working with trauma, anxiety, depression and chronic illnesses.  She works collaboratively with her clients to help them gain insight, better manage difficult feelings, increase self-acceptance and achieve their goals.

With 15 years of experience in holistic and integrative medicine, Karishma brings a deeper understanding and success in providing effective therapy for long-term illnesses, women’s health, perinatal concerns and postpartum depression.  She is equally passionate about working with life transitions, including relationship uncertainty, break-up and divorce recovery, and the challenges of dating.

With a holistic, trauma-informed, and compassionate approach Karishma draws from ACT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Tai-chi and art therapy as appropriate.  Karishma has a warm and gentle approach but does not hesitate to provide direction when helpful.  Her personal experience of moving to the U.S has led to a greater understanding of issues pertaining to immigration, life transitions, identity concerns, motivation, and self-esteem.  She provides a supportive, culturally-competent therapeutic space for clients facing these challenges.
