Jill Murphy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience providing adult and adolescent psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and groups. She has worked in private practice, hospitals and community mental health settings and worked in crisis intervention within emergency departments and schools. Jill views the therapeutic relationship as an opportunity for individuals to understand where they have been so that they can discover who they are, and experience meaning and fulfillment in their lives.
Jill integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and client-centered approaches in her work. She treats mood and affective disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and adjustment issues, grief and trauma. She is an experienced couples therapist and a certified Domestic Violence professional.
Jill earned a BS in Biology from DePaul University, and an MA in psychology from Concordia University Chicago. She competed two years of postgraduate training at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
