Carol Morken, MBA, LCSW, CH, is an experienced hypnotherapist, coach, counselor and business consultant, dedicated to helping people eliminate problematic behaviors and unlock their full potential. Drawing on clients’ conscious and unconscious resources, Carol works with them to address a wide range of opportunities for change, including: stress and anxiety, fears and phobias, depression, weight loss, sugar intake, smoking cessation, test anxiety, insomnia/sleep disorders, nail biting, removing emotional blocks, building confidence and self esteem, increasing intuition and creativity, public speaking, pain management, and more.
Carol started her career in behavioral health at Forest Hospital in Des Plaines, Illinois, and at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, where she worked as a counselor with adults and adolescents. She went on to develop what may have been the first agency-based Employee Assistance Program for Elk Grove Schaumburg Townships Mental Health Center, now Kenneth Young Center. Carol subsequently embarked on a marketing career, working for Hyatt Hotels, A.T. Kearney, IT consulting firms, and a fundraising consultancy for non-profits, rising to the rank of Vice President of Marketing, before returning to her work in the behavioral health field.
In hypnotherapy, Carol teaches clients to tap into their unconscious mind to make desired changes and develop a life-long skill for self-hypnosis. She also provides counseling, coaching, EFT skills training, and NLP interventions. With a gentle and compassionate approach, Carol works collaboratively with clients to identify their goals and tailor the process of change for achieving them.
Carol holds a Master of Social Work degree from Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a certified hypnotherapist and a certified NLP practitioner.
